The study group was originally his thought. My colleague proposed an idea to build a study group for beginners in our lab, and I agreed to that. I believe both of us were unsure about our membership in that so-called beginner’s group due to the amount of time we spent in AQUA, endlessly bothering to get used to our research in the lab.
While listening to his lecture on Linear Algebra, I realized that zoom is being quite useless as it used to be. It was consuming a bunch of bandwidth just to share a few slide images.
Since I was highly inspired by Prof. Hagino’s way of teaching and his presentation system (which was presumably done about 20 years ago. look for the “iplohp” at the bottom of his website), I decided to build a small web app like him to solve this problem. Since Prof. Hagino discontinued his work on version 2 with LISP (or at least he didn’t go public with that), I started to use Scheme on this to try to continue the project with the gap of decades.
